Glover Garden is a beautiful and historic attraction that is easily accessible via a quick streetcar ride from Oura Catholic Church Station. When you get off the streetcar, it may take a bit of effort to locate the entrance, but it is conveniently situated in the vicinity of the Shikairo building.

In case you get hungry before or after your visit, there are several restaurants nearby, including Champion, where we stopped for a delicious lunch.

One of the unique features of the garden is that it has not one, but two entrances. As you climb up to the garden, you'll see the first entrance. The second entrance is visible when you are descending. This means that you can choose which route to take based on the scenery you prefer.

As you look into the distance, you will notice an inclined escalator, leading to a higher level. Being a weekday, the area may be less crowded, providing you with a less chaotic experience. However, please note that during your journey, you will have to change trains once to reach your final destination.

As you make your way to the observation deck, an exciting opportunity awaits halfway through. Once you reach that point, you will be able to take in a breathtaking view of Nagasaki city and the sea below. In addition, you can also spot the observation deck from this vantage point, providing a glimpse of what's to come. On a clear day, with the weather on your side, this experience can be a truly remarkable way to start your journey.

As I made my way toward the entrance of Glover Garden, I couldn't help but notice the scorching heat of the summer sun bearing down on me. However, my excitement to explore the garden kept me going. As I reached the entrance, I was greeted by a charming pathway leading up to the gardens. Despite the steep climb, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the path was well-maintained and easy to navigate. It gave me a sense of comfort to know that the garden was accessible to all visitors, regardless of their physical abilities.

As soon as we arrived at Entrance 2, the guide pointed out that the entire map of the course was visible from there. He then took me through a detailed explanation of the route that I would be following as I descended. I was happy to note that the course was wheelchair-friendly, meaning that there were no stairs to navigate. This made it a perfect tourist spot for the elderly, who would not have to worry about any accessibility issues.

The operating hours of the facility were from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on regular days. However, during summer, the operating hours were extended till 9:30 p.m. to cater to the increased demand for services during the season. This offered customers an opportunity to access the services beyond the regular working hours, making it convenient for those who could not make it during the day.

Glover Garden offers admission to various age groups at different prices. Adult visitors can enter the garden by purchasing a ticket for 620 yen, while high school students need to pay 310 yen. For junior high school students and younger children, the admission fee is only 180 yen. The ticket counter located at the entrance is where visitors can buy their tickets, and the staff will assist them with the purchase.

To receive a photo coupon, please take a photo indoors while holding a ticket that resembles a US dollar bill. The ticket can be any paper with a design similar to that of a dollar bill. Once you have taken the photo, present it to us and we will provide you with a coupon that can be used to print a photo of your choice. It is important to note that if you are going down, you should stay on the right side, while those coming up from below should keep to the left. Alternatively, you can use the escalator but be warned that the slope is quite steep. Even though Glover Garden is situated on the mountainside, it is worth a visit to Nagasaki. It is a popular sightseeing spot, and there may be a good reason for that. Perhaps, it is because they have made it easily accessible for tourists to enjoy.

The Glover House, which was a larger dwelling than I had envisioned, was a highly sought-after location for taking photographs. People would often visit the families who resided there at the time, making it a popular spot for social gatherings and events.

As I walked through the entrance, I couldn't help but feel excited at the prospect of exploring the exhibit. It was my first time here, and I was looking forward to seeing everything it had to offer. Despite this minor setback, I was still able to see the whole exhibit, which took me approximately 40 minutes.

Although the exhibit ended a little earlier than I had anticipated, the day was still enjoyable. The weather was warm, but not too hot, so I decided to take a break and sit in a nearby café for a while. The café was located in the middle of the exhibit, allowing me to relax and take in the sights and sounds around me. I spent a good amount of time there, sipping on a refreshing drink and people-watching.

Initially, I had planned on staying in the café for a longer period, but the weather started to heat up, making it uncomfortable to sit for too long. So, I decided to venture out and explore the rest of the area. Overall, it was a great day, and I was glad that I had the opportunity to experience everything the exhibit had to offer.

As we strolled along, we savored the sights, sounds, and smells of the bustling street, taking in all that it had to offer.

I decided to take a break and indulge in some snacks, and to my delight, I found that they had an impressive variety to choose from. After much contemplation, I decided to try their must-try dish, which was described as simple yet delicious. I eagerly took a bite, and I was pleasantly surprised by the burst of flavors that exploded in my mouth. If you ever find yourself at Glover Garden, I highly recommend visiting this pudding shop and trying out their must-try dish.
